This figure is about movement as freedom. The body as its own kind of permission. She holds the memory of dancing in the kitchen, dancing alone, dancing with someone — the small daily rebellions against sitting still. A wooden figure for the corner of the living room where music plays, the studio where work becomes rhythm, the hallway you pass through humming.
Solid wood, water-based pigment. Designed in collaboration with illustrator Olga Rotaenko, finished by hand in Korosten, Ukraine.
